LENNARD LONGHORN BATTALION

The Longhorn Battalion is an Army JROTC program led by LTC Dietz and SFC Mainor. Our program develops leadership, discipline, and teamwork through both classroom instruction and hands-on training.
Cadets have the opportunity to join extracurricular teams such as Raiders, Color Guard, and Drill, though participation is optional. The program is student-led, following a chain of command modeled after the U.S. Army. Founded in 2011 by LTC Procter and MSG Bailes, the Longhorn Battalion has grown into a strong program with over 160 cadets today. Our mission: To prepare students for success after high school—whether in the workforce, college, or the military—by building character, leadership, and responsibility.
