SENIOR ARMY INSTRUCTOR

​LTC (R) David S. Dietz serves as Senior Army Instructor for Lennard High Schools Junior Reserve Officers’ Training Corp (JROTC), Hillsborough County, Ruskin Florida. 

A native of Johnstown, Pennsylvania, he entered the United States Army as a member of the Pennsylvania National Guard in 1995 and attended One Station Unit Training at Ft. Leonard Wood, Missouri where he was trained as a Combat Engineer. In 2000, he enlisted in the United States Army and in 2003 was commissioned a Combat Engineer Officer from the U.S. Army Officer Candidate School at Ft. Benning, Georgia. Designated a Functional Area FA34 Strategic Intelligence Officer. Retired out of Special Operations Command (SOCOM) here at MacDill AFB in Tampa.

He has earned the Combat Action Badge, Basic Parachutist Badge, Air Assault Badge, Sapper & Ranger Tab(s). He is also the recipient of the US Army Engineer Regiments Bronze de Fleury Medal.

ARMY INSTRUCTOR

Sergeant First Class (R) Jason E. Mainor serves as the Army Instructor for Lennard High School’s Junior Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (JROTC), Hillsborough County, Ruskin, Florida.

A native of Albany, Georgia, he began his military service in 2002 in the United States Navy as a Gas Turbine Systems Technician – Electrical, serving until 2006. In 2009, he entered the United States Army as an Aircraft Pneudraulics Repairer and later served as the Battalion Operations Noncommissioned Officer in Charge (NCOIC) for the 3rd Combat Aviation Brigade (3CAB) at Hunter Army Airfield, Savannah, Georgia.

He has earned the Senior Army Instructor Badge, Senior Aviation Badge, and the German Armed Forces Badge for Weapons Proficiency in Gold (Schützenschnur in Gold), and is a recipient of the Army Aviation Association of America (AAAA) Order of Saint Michael Award (Bronze).
